Insurance historically is a manual labor-intensive, admin-heavy industry. A lot of manual labour goes into reading incoming requests, processing emails and attachments from central mailboxes, forwarding to colleagues, scheduling and prioritizing tasks and archiving information into insurance back-office systems.

Our Agentic AI Solution reduces friction and brings structure to the biggest bottleneck of insurance operations: the Mailroom.

Role 👀

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Paperbox, you'll play a key role in driving our growth. You'll be the first point of contact for potential customers. Responsible for prospecting, outreach, and qualifying leads to build a strong pipeline. You'll be the face of Paperbox for insurers and brokers, sparking curiosity around how our solution can transform their operations. Working closely with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, you'll help us expand our footprint and open new doors.

This is a full-time role with flexibility for remote work and regular travel within the focus market.

Today, with more than 75 insurance customers, we’re entering a true scale-up phase. We’re growing fast, with the ambition to double our ARR, and we’re looking for someone who wants to help put oil on that fire and guide us to the next level.

Your responsibilities 📆

Sales & Market Development

Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demos, business cases, negotiations, and closing;

  • Execute go-to-market strategy focused insurers and brokers
  • Build strong pipeline and maintain accurate forecasting in HubSpot
  • Target innovators and early adopters to create market momentum
  • Tailor our value proposition to the focus market needs and regulatory context

Sales Excellence

  • Run compelling discovery and qualification conversations to understand prospect needs
  • Tailor our value proposition to the market context and regulatory landscape
  • Learn and apply structured outreach frameworks and messaging to improve conversion rates
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoff and context sharing

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing on campaigns, events, and outreach sequences
  • Share market insights with the broader team to help shape messaging and strategy
  • Represent Paperbox at industry events and networking opportunities in the Netherlands

You are a great fit if you have 👇

Commercial Drive (Hunter!)

  • Ability to run consultative, value-based sales processes
  • B2B SaaS/Enterprise Software sales experience is a plus
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding quota
  • Strong hunter mentality – you love prospecting and opening new doors

Sales Excellence

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English (French is a plus 🥖)
  • Ability to engage and qualify multiple stakeholders via different channels
  • Comfortable working with CRM tools and tracking your activity (HubSpot experience a plus)
  • Resilience and a positive attitude in the face of rejection

Collaboration & Growth Mindset

  • Entrepreneurial spirit: self-starter who thrives in a scale-up environment
  • Team player who works well across Marketing, Product, and Customer Success
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • Native Dutch proficiency
  • Experience in insurance or financial services industry
